Eliane Smith is a painter living in Montréal, Québec.

In a style she refers to as Expressionist Nature, Eliane mixes environmentally-friendly recycled latex paint with acrylics and varnish. While hoping to achieve a modern take on a traditional subject, Eliane also wishes her art to be an outward reminder of what is truly important in life - our home, the Earth.

STATEMENT

Finding the peace in nature. Turning outward from the self. Admiring the beauty that surrounds us in a moment of quiet solitude. Seeing the land that we all come from…seeing the land from which we are one. This is what nurtures us, feed us, allows us to be alive. This is what is true. This is what I want to bring to the present.
